Matt Kever Managing Director

Matt is a Managing Director based in the Miami office of H.I.G. Capital. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing and implementation of post-closing growth, operational, and add-on acquisition strategies.

He has more than ten years of experience in middle market private equity and has worked on investments in a broad range of industries, including industrials, chemicals, and business services. Matt has served on the board of directors of numerous H.I.G. portfolio companies.

Prior to joining H.I.G., Matt worked for The Sterling Group, an operationally focused middle market private equity firm based in Houston. Matt started his career at RBS, in the Energy and Chemicals investment banking group.

Matt received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
