Private Equity

H.I.G.’s multiple private equity fund strategies enable the firm to invest across a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, technology, healthcare, and business services. We leverage our scale and experience, and utilize a hands-on, operationally focused approach to drive value creation in our companies. Since our founding in 1993, we’ve invested in more than 400 companies worldwide.

Growth

H.I.G. Growth makes both majority and minority investments in promising, growth-oriented, leading technology companies. With a focus on SaaS, Fin Tech, Consumer Tech, Marketplaces, AI/ML, and healthcare technology businesses, we partner with driven entrepreneurs and leaders to effect transformative change across various industries. We provide broad-based strategic, operational, recruiting, and financial management services from a large in-house operations team and an extensive network of third-party relationships.

Credit Strategies

Direct Lending

WhiteHorse Capital provides a range of private debt solutions including senior and second lien debt for refinancing, growth capital, acquisitions, buyouts, and balance sheet recapitalizations. We provide creative financing structures and employ a long term relationship oriented portfolio management philosophy.

Special Situations

Bayside Capital invests in special situations, distressed, and opportunistic credit. Bayside invests across the capital structure on both a primary and secondary basis.

Real Asset Strategies

Real Estate

H.I.G. Realty makes opportunistic value-add equity investments in mid-size real estate properties. It employs a hands-on, operationally intensive approach to rehabilitate, redevelop, reposition and rebrand assets that have been capital starved and/or poorly managed.

H.I.G. Realty Credit originates senior secured loans and makes opportunistic debt investments in small-to-mid cap real estate secured by all property types. Debt investments include senior bridge loans, mezzanine loans and preferred equity collateralized by transitional properties and portfolios.

Infrastructure

H.I.G. Infrastructure invests in a wide range of businesses with infrastructure characteristics, where active management, best practices, and strategic repositioning can significantly increase the profitability of existing operations. It targets middle-market opportunities where it can use the operational capabilities of the H.I.G. platform to drive value creation.

BioHealth

H.I.G. BioHealth invests in early stage companies developing therapeutic drugs, medical devices, digital health, diagnostics, and related outsourcing services for significant unmet medical needs.
