H.I.G. Europe Named 'European Fund of the Year'
LONDON – November 28, 2007 – H.I.G. Capital, LLC, a leading global alternative asset firm announced today that its European private equity fund, H.I.G. European Capital Partners, received the “Fund of the Year” award from the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA).
Paul Canning and Matthias Allgaier, both H.I.G. Europe Managing Directors, collected the award at the EVCA annual dinner held in Barcelona, Spain on November 22, 2007 and commented: “We are very pleased by the recognition we have received in the European private equity community. As previously announced, H.I.G. closed on its Europe fund in June 2007 with €600 Million of capital. The fund targets both controlling stakes as well as growth capital minority investments in companies with revenue up to €500 Million.
